The eternal Charlie Brown and Chorão (Alexandre Magno, in memory)
I chose to talk about a Brazilian band that, like me, has thousands of fans all over the world. I will introduce this band while doing a tribute by the difference it makes in my life. This band is Charlie Brown JR that was a Brazilian rock band, from the city of Santos, São Paulo.
Chorão (Alexandre Magno Abrão) went to São Paulo with seventeen. At that time he showed interest in rock and skateboarding. The songs are critical to society in view mode himself. He started singing by chance when he was in a bar and had to replace a singer. An audience member asked him to be a singer of his band.
He came to met Champignon formed the band What's Up. After a time meeting and inviting others to the band they formed the Charlie Brown. The group's sound was influenced by groups like Sublime and Bad Brains mixing hardcore, skate and reggae. Charlie has released 11 albums during 21 years of career.
Chorão (Alexandre Magno Abrão), Champignon (Heitor Gomes), Thiago Castanho, Marcão and Bruno Graveto always been present in the band. Others were passing as: Renato Pelado (1992-2005) and André Ruas (the famous "Pinguim" in 2005-2008)
The first album was Transpiração Contínua Prolongada with the success "Proibida pra mim"
I have chosen to speak because Charlie is a band that made a difference in the lives of many people. Many songs describe facts of life. Many touch the hearts of people (this is the meaning of the song). This band will stay forever in the hearts of all. Despite all the problems, Chorão was a man of unusual character.
The CBJR won many awards and today is in memory of all the fans who are passionate about the band.
Unfortunately, Chorão (vocalist and founder of the band) died on March 6, 2013 in his apartment. He died of an overdose of cocaine and alcohol. The band's name was changed to The Banker, preserving the memory of the founder.
This was the last song made by him before his death.
Many tributes were made by fans as the video shows. Here is my tribute. "All that is good lasts long enough to become unforgettable," as he says in one of his letters.

I've never been their fan but I think Chorão's songs were really contemporary and moving.
