IRON MAN
Iron Man is a comic character from Marvel Comics. His secret identity is that of the entrepreneur and millionaire Anthony Edward "Tony" Stark. It was created in 1963 by Stan Lee, Don Heck to design the drawings, his first publication was in Tales of Suspense # 39 and was published in Brazil in the TV Heroes # 100.
As Tony Stark, Iron Man is a genius of automation engineering. Never lacked money for their projects because inherited wealth and enterprise of his father at age 21, when he died in an accident. Given their youth, created for himself a reputation as a millionaire playboy. These features were inspired by the real-life American millionaire Howard Hughes.
During the Vietnam War, Tony Stark took the opportunity to improve U.S. weapons and expand your fortune. On his first visit to Vietnam just accidentally triggering a trap! Luckily, he survived, but the shrapnel bomb hit his heart. The Viet Cong had captured and was taken to the leader Wong Chu. Stark was on the verge of death and Wong Chu forced him to create a powerful weapon, after promising that he would be operated from shattering.
Tony decided to obey, but did not create a weapon, but something to keep him alive and allowed to defeat the Vietcong. Arrested with him was another genius, Professor Yin Sen. Stark revealed his plan to the teacher, and Yin Sen helped build the armor keeping him alive. Invented first, a special suit, an exoskeleton superequipado built to escape from a Viet Cong prison camp, where he was arrested.
To disguise the escape, the scientist who became a friend of Stark distract others, and eventually shot! At least Stark escaped. Wong Chu tried to escape, but the Iron Man set fire to shed ammunition causing the explosion killed him and the prisoners were freed.
Early versions of the armor was much more rude, and gray with little anatomical traits, had a magnetic generator that kept the shrapnel grenade away from the heart of Stark. But the only problem would be solved completely with a heart transplant. Since then Stark developed new versions of his armor, and adopted the colors red and gold armor as standard. With the costume increasingly perfected, Tony Stark has been acting as a superhero, fighting all sorts of enemies of the United States. Earlier in his performances, and no one suspected, Stark spread the rumor that Iron Man was his bodyguard.
In the original Tony Stark worked with the U.S. military, developing weapons and machinery intended to confrontations of the Cold War. His enemies were frequent Communists (Russian, Asian or Latin American), facing as Iron Man technology as rivals Dynamo Red (or Scarlet) and the first Titanium Man, spies or special as the Black Widow and the Spy Master. Panned at the time of the reaction to the Vietnam War, anticommunist softened his stance.
The Iron Man tbém is one of the founders of the Avengers alongside Thor, Hulk, Wasp and Ant Man. Despite being a hero without powers themselves, their courage, intelligence, and equipment make it one of the most powerful of the Avengers. Anthony Stark himself also has a very important role in the Avengers, because it will finance part of the team's resources and provides the technology you need, such as jets and ships. Even a close friend of Captain America, which came after the group.
The armor worn in the Cave (maximum security prison for super-villains) are also creations of Stark. Among the enemies of the Avenger stand out from the Mandarin, Dr. Doom, Scarlet Dynamo, the ancient dragon Fin Fang Foom (what a strange name!), IMA, and Hydra.
In the most recent stories, Stark was bankrupted by a rival named Obadiah Stane (creator armor Iron Monk), which led to an emotional breakdown and problems with alcoholism. He had to leave the identity of Iron Man, transferring it to one of its employees, the former soldier James Rhodes.
Stark recovered financially by creating a new company, Circuits Maximus, but while reerguia, Rhodes remained in control of the costume. With time Rhodes was becoming increasingly aggressive, bordering on madness. The reason for this was the costume be calibrated to work together with the mind of Tony Stark. After saving Rhodes and defeat Stane, Tony decided to devote himself to destroy all the costumes based combat her for being too dangerous. This persecution of cyber villains had a tragic conclusion when Stark, alongside the Black Widow and a new Scarlet Dynamo - the Russian military Valentin Shatalov - faced deranged original Titanium Man (Boris Bullski). Outraged with Russia, he fled a military base and tried to kill Tony Stark during an inauguration ceremony of a factory Stark on Russian soil.
The constant use of the Iron Man suit was destroying the nervous system of Tony Stark. Weakened and, later, a paraplegic after being shot by a crazed ex-lover, Stark could not fight in person and had to develop a version of the Iron Man suit manageable distance. When this version proved to be not enough before a particular threat, Stark produced a new armor, more powerful that came to be called the Battle Machine. This was more efficient against its enemies but had the same effects as their ancient armor about your health. Much later, Stark regained mobility after leg - literally - to require the use in itself a revolutionary biochip.
Stark decided to fake his death and put hisself in suspended animation while recovering. Rhodes, who was not warned about this plan, took charge of Stark Enterprises and the Machine Battle. When Stark reappeared cured, Rhodes was furious that he had cheated him and other friends and left, taking with it the Battle Machine. Rhodes has been acting sporadically using the Costume Battle Machine.
Tony Stark has no power beyond his great intellect, but his costume has several tech gadgets. The armor is testimony to the genius of its creator. It is made of metal mesh, and stiffened by a magnetic field. Generally, it is stored in the briefcase of Stark, in a secret compartment. It has various equipment (navigation computer, various kinds of sensors, lighting systems, emitting electromagnetic pulse, sonar, sonic disruptor, magazines oxygen supply), among many other paraphernalia. Most of these skills was not present in the original costume Iron Man, dated 1963.
After injection of the virus Extremis, Tony Stark has won several new powers: strength and superhuman speed, and each 'upgrades' he did it now he can plug into any network, including satellite, cellular, etc.. ie, it 'sees' with the same accuracy of a satellite.
